Sliders on a 110 ?

Has anyone got rock sliders fitted to a 110 ?

When I bought mine, the supplier said that as I was fitting them to a hard top I 'might' need to fabricate a bracket for the rear end of the slider as the hard top chassis doesn't have a bit that the station wagon chassis does. I've spoken to the very nice peeps at Richards Chassis (as I thought I could see the missing bit on their website), and Alistair advises not to bolt a slider anywhere near the bit as it would bend the bodywork (it was the rear bodywork crossmember for a 110 SW). I reckon that I need to fit additional outriggers (there's the beginnings of one on the side of the chassis already) - anyone know for certain ?

Hi Jimbo. I have rock csliders fitted to my 110 tc. They bolt on at the bulkhead and at the front body outrigger, just behind the door. I have jacked mine with alot of weight in it too, and had no probs. Just get sturdy ones. :)

I can take pics of the brackets if needed. The rear brackets on mine, go either side of the outrigger.

I got the ones with tree bars from Mill Services, they are seriously sturdy - it's just the rear mounting points that have me foxed. The front end mounts onto the bulkhead bolt - some pics of your 'rear' mount would be most useful, thanks.

Mine are the ones from Mills Services with the tree fenders on them, big chunky things they are too :D

They're only attached at two points though as it sounds like yours is, because the rear outrigger's not there of course. Does look a tad dicey esp if you were to try jacking it from near the back too. Tempted to get another outrigger welded onto the chassis at some point, but it's yet another job to be put on the list, and not high up either :)

You only use the bulk head our rigger and the other one. If you have a station wagon then you use the 3dr one or weld one on :D . I have Mill Service ones fitted to mine. I have not had a problem with using them hard, just bend one of the out riggers on a tree stump.

Ah, ok it seems like 2 moutings will do then - but seeing as I have the rear tub off at the moment, I might see about getting something welded on as the 'third bracket'.

If you are welding something on, just ger the 3rd out rigger off of a CSW and weld it on.
