Well not quite. Picked up the other Audi on Sat:

Having to the history now it seems a shame to break her. 88K on a G-Reg. Auto box is silky smooth and she has a LOT more power than I expected. Fuel economy is pretty damn impressive, cruising at 55 gives you about 40MPG + . She's misses ONE service about 10K ago, which I think has been done DIY and just not stamped. Bodywork is in fairly good shape and I'll be the 2nd owner.

Have had the rear passenger door off already, next up bonnet and boot, then sell her on again once I sort the niggles out.

I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Go for an S1/S2 or if you can find em, one of the ex works ones like mine. Standard 90 body, but thats it, same powerplant suspention and drivetrain as the URQ but with trapesoidal link rear suspension. And yes, it does go like stik, 158 on a closed track (yes I do mean a track in this case)

If you have the money a V8 S4 (£6000+) or an RS/2 (£11000+) are even better. An estate should NOT be that fast. And the RS/2 is partially porsche anyway :)

The 80 of the par is probobly gonna get broken as I cant shift her :( shame as she doesnt need a whole lot and the engine bay still looks brand new.
