Hi just wondering if a 2.5n/a diesel in a 90 is adaptable to put a turbo of a 2.5 td engine? as i may have the chance to get a 2.5n/a 90 and i just dont think it will have enough power.

you would have to drill & tap the block for the oil supply & make up a return in the sump,
Drilling the block aint as easy as it sounds having tried it

i think that the pistons are different to for the oil ways and cooling
you will need a rad with oil cooler on it as well
fit it all, then realise that you were better off getting a cheap 200tdi from a disco and fitting that instead

o ok. just a tad more than simply bolting it on then! Is it easy to fit a 200tdi out of a disco into it?

yep
just need a cheapo disco for 5-600quid fo rall the bits and an exhaust downpipe from steve parker landrovers for about £120
it fits straight in.
many people on here (including me )can talk thru the conversion, but it is well worthwhile.

what about pipes etc as they cant all just fit straight on from the old engine can they? is it worth just buying the engine instead or would you recomend the whole dicso so that you have all the bits as I've seen 200's go on their own on ebay for 250-300.

go for the whole disco - then u get the rad intercooler , engine bay loom, air filter piping, etc etc. far easier and probably just as cheap as buying a lump on its own.
