Land Rover alarm
« on: October 13, 2004, 11:38:41 »
Hi all

Last night I went to start my disco only to find it was immobilised by the standard alarm. I do not use this alarm as I have a cat 2 immobiliser and a second alarm fitted, I disconnected the entire alarm loom from the control box and it stopped all the central locking from working but still the alarm was immobilised. I messed around for a while then called out the AA what a waste of time that was as he didn’t have a clue what to do and ordered a recovery truck for me. While I was waiting for the recovery truck I reconnected the loom to get the central locking back and hey presto the alarm worked.

It is a 1995 single button alarm and the control box is under the dash passenger side front does anyone have any ideas what I can do as I don’t mind disconnecting it but would like to keep the central locking.
