TD5 Running temp
« on: December 19, 2006, 12:04:23 »
I've just bought a 2001 TD5 Disco, can anyone tell me what temp they run at? I'm used to my 300tdi never getting much more than a third of the way up the gauge, but this one seems to run just very slightly above the middle. Is this normal  :D , or could there be a potential problem round the corner

Thanks.

My '52 Td5 auto runs at just over half way up the gauge, you only need to worry when the needle hits the red - then you've got problems !

Should be about 87 degrees when up to temp.... which in theory should be about half way up the gauge AFAIK.

But in all honesty.... some gauges aren't that accurate - at the same time if the gauge ever gets any higher I'd be more worried.. and would go over the cooling circuit with a fine tooth comb.
