"Our plan is to make 4x4 drivers look stupid by giving their cars mud washes or placing the fake tickets on them."

So, a 4x4 is going to look stupid because it's covered in mud?     Actually, I think the only thing looking stupid will be them.  Carrying buckets of mud around to stand there and wash unsuspecting 4x4's.

Obviously the criminal damage aspect is just wrong.  Does this mean I can damage BMW's because they go too fast and don't adhere to the speed limit very often?

I haven't washed mine since we went laning the other weekend and the rain hasn't budged the mud either. Maybe I could get them to analyze the mud on my motor so they can get the best recipe

I had a right go at him, so it might not get published.  Pathetic little t***.

Mind, he'd be lucky if a bucket of mud made any difference to me

I'm afraid that pointing out littl ethings like the FATCS would fall on deaf ears.  This guy is a cretin, personally I tink he should be sent down for criminal damage but I suspect he's doing a degree in tree-hugging so probably gets pelenty of time to ar** about.
I like the comments from some of the readers on the news page though, apparently 33% of us are drug dealers

Added to the fact that they'll probably be distributed in a big van the numerous miles to their intended destination that maybe this is kinda missing the point. Better to get off the bandwagon, learn the facts and save their energy for a worthwhile cause. Give your leaflet budget to a charity and stop giving in to the 'GMTV generation' traits of panic and conclusion jumping. To Mr Rose, I would like to issue a stern warning that whilst he believes he is being non-violent, there is no guarantee that his 'victim' will be of the same friendly state of mind when 'discussing' the effects of his misguided 'prank' on their multi-thousand pound vehicle. Furthermore does he realise how few resprays he will be able to pay for out of his next inevitable student loan?

I say we all turn up for their day of action, preferably after a good few hours laning.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Meeting on Tuesday 12th December in Clifton

We are going to have our 1st meeting on Tuesday 12th December at 8.30pm at the Lansdown pub ( 8 Clifton Road,Clifton,Bristol,BS8 1AF). They have a large table (seats up to 15/20 people) in a tent outside (which is heated) and I'll try and to get that - or they have a more private room upstairs. My mobile is 07817 447 406 in case anyone cannot find us. Everyone is welcome to discuss the group's strategy and tactics.

Seems to me a public forum is a BAD place to bung your mobile number.
Just for anyone who missed it:

Quote from: "Anti 4x4 Bristol"
Are 4x4 drivers in fact zombies who are: a) killing pedestrians and cyclists 2) blocking the streets of Bristol 3) addicted to oil, with the deadly side effects of Global Warming and the crazy ‘Oil War’ in Iraq? You get the idea, dress up as a Zombie for the day as this will give the media lots of great pics and freak out the 4x4 drivers! If you don’t want to dress up, that’s no problem.

Now a zombie wanting to wash my motor with a bucket of mud would indeed freak me out    usually they just want to eat my brain

It seems to me that someone has already eaten 'Mr Rose's' brain. I wouldn't be surprised if he were the only one to turn up to his one man mud-washing zombie ill-informed rant-athon.

What a time waster.

Now what would really get on my nerves would be if i'd just washed the 90 and got it looking nice and shiny (not that that will ever happen ) then i decide to nip into town. Park up and some 40 year old, tree hugging student come runnig up to me with a bucket and chucks some mud all over the 90! I think i would flip out!
Whos up for an outing to this rally whenever it is? Just turn up nice and muddy and park infront of them :P

Sigh.

[rant]
I just can not understand these people. There are many many things wrong with this country, like the cronic underfunding of the health care system, the levels of crime that carries on because the police have to spend all their time doing paperwork, the obscene salaries of our elected, and non-elected government officials, the amount of domestic abuse that women are subjected to, the absolute squalid conditions some people have to live in, not forgetting those who haven't even got a home? Like, the 1 in 17 cancer suffers that get evicted because they can't work and pay their way?

So why do these morons focus on something that is really, just founded on jealosy? Can't they actually do something significant with their energy and try to do something about a real and significant issue?

It was the same with fox hunting - more parliament time was spent debating that than invading Iraq!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if this issue goes the same way as fox hunting. It's a soft issue; the government can be seen to be 'doing their job' while not really loosing voter favour..

[/rant]

Sorry, I just get wound up beyond the pail by these twerps that would gladly walk past the sick and injured just because someone has got a nicer and shiner car than them.

GGGrrrrrrrrrrr

There are many out there who would avocate the banning of motorcycles.....Ever wondered why no one has had a go?
Because they would simply disappear, thats why

4X4`s are indeed a soft target :( ....But there are some motorcyclists who also drive 4X4`s.....And some of them have friends in very low places

I have a active dislike for students. I'm going to prowl the streets of this fair city armed with a large bucket of faeces and will dump it on any mature student I see. It might improve their general odour for a start.

Mr. Rose and his mates are welcome to visit Northumbria anytime they wish. It may be helpful if he was aware that most of the extras from the film "Deliverance" came from where I live and at certain times of the year, we eat our offspring !. I was down in Bristol 2 weekends ago and I didnt get a bucket of mud thrown over my disco nor a parking ticket. Oh maybe thats because I went off roading and had globs of mud all over the disco!!!

I had to drive right through the middle of Bristol on the way back to my mates house and stopping at 1 zebra crossing I got so many heads turning due to the state of the disco. Was SO funny. And I think I know where 1 bucket load of mud came from................ where I was parked for a few hours and my disco pooed on the road. I picked up as much as poss but still some I couldnt take home. So sorry if you now have my mud.

The mud on my disco is well travelled though. It even went to France on Tuesday for a day trip out
