Mat ,there should be a little switch to the left of your knee by the clock position . It has a "H" type picture on it, and a little light should come on when you press it in? You can then use the steering wheel controls  , left hand button for on and right for off ......hope this helps mate.

Any probs then give me a ring....07877459088

I have tried pressing that button, but when i take my foot off the accelerator the disco just slows down as normal.
The top of the 2 steering buttons doesn't seem to 'click' like the other tho?

How easy and how costly is it to fit crusie control? I have one of the first 300tdis and it is the es model (top spec iirr) but it was too early on to have crusie control. Will all the wiring be in there to fit it and how much would the kit cost?

Most expensive item for a Disco is????? a round piece of paper stuck on the windscreen!

I'd like an answer to the question too
I know that Land Rover only fitted Cruise in the auto versions but it cant be that hard to fit in a manual car...can it?

Your disco is the slightly newer face lifted model and I'm going to guess it will have the wires etc in yours as you have leccy seats etc where as I dont. Only down side I can see to manaul is that it wont drop down a gear on hills etc where as an auto will obviously!
