Need a guide as to what people around here think my disco might be worth? I really have no clue.
The time may have come to sell it as work commitments mean a severe lack of time. Im just doing the sums to see if its worth keeping her or if it's make financial sense to sell.
I have owned it for 3 years.
The spec is:
Cut down into pickup with extended cab.
Fuel tank (iveco) in rear tub
the V8 drowned so now a tinkered with 200tdi
Safari Snorkel
2" lift on ProComp Springs and shocks
Scorpian Evolution kit
Scorpian Extreme prop shafts
ARB Diff Lockers front & rear ( compressor may need attention its been playing up)
Recessed Superwinch Bumper ( the winch died last month so no winch)
Rock Sliders ( 4x2 steel with welded supports to chassis rails )
33" Goodyear MTR's ( or Grizzly's) with spare
Twin Leccy Fans
Extensive Waterproofing in (and on) engine bay
12V outlets front and rear
Eberspacher Heater with seperate fuel supply
Uprated Lighting both inside and out
PDA with memory map, Charger rigged up via inverter. also has seperate disc drive
Recovery points front and rear
In the process of having ALL fluids changed so fair to say 'just serviced'.
Uprated steering bars ( solid ) only 2 months ago with ball joints replaced.
All wheel bearings done.
Brand new brake calipers discs and pads.
Just had ALL rust cut out and welded back up. Sills rebuilt with 2 mil steel with a 1 mil coating over the top for most vulnerable places
The same goes for the floors.
Body mounts rebuilt
Body seam welded to rock sliders as well in sections.
( This baby will not fail an MOT on rust for many many years yet !)
Theres probably more iv forgotten to mention.
Just after thoughts really.......... The photo is the same day as the respray. Its been on a fair few outings since so not quite as shiny but still scrubs up well.
We have a steam cleaner here at work so always gets a proper clean after each outing.
Thanks

Aww, shame you gotta sell, dude. Thats a nice wagon.
I think it's fair to say that it was built to a high standard by an expert in the field. It's a cracking basis for a challenge truck, is that. 8)
Good luck with the sale!
cheers

yes - my thought was that with a roll cage it'd be a winner straight of of the box.
If me mate ( on here - sididuous ) were to have the time to compete then id get a cage built and go for it even if it were just 3 or 4 times a year.
However that aint looking likely...therfore why leave it to gather dust

I am going to keep a VERY close watch on this topic as I have a mate who is thinking of buying one of those ford crew cab thingies and I am trying to persuade him to go for sometype of landy. this maybe exactly what I need to persuade him other wise!!!
Sorry no idea what it is worth. :(

So from the replies and Pm's it could be worth anywhere from £1500 to £4k........
Maybe throw it on eblag at £3300 no reserve and see what happens....
Il get the service finished, quick wash and see how I feel.
Logically its gonna cost @£1000 per year to keep her which is sod all so I reckon it'd have to be £3300 and up before Id part as this is the only sort of money that would make it worthwhile as I figure selling the 2nd set of wheels/tyres and various spares would take it over £4k. And thats a nice chunk off the mortgage (but then at nearly £300k is it worth counting?! )

Funny thing to value, but my mate was selling a RRC on flea-bay that he had and all the questions he got were "how much for the pickup in the background?"
You have to try and see who bites.

I would say 3K is a fair starting price. It is other than a cage a challenge truck and similer spec 90 sell for way more than that.
Good luck as its a nice looking/speced truck
