As I'm not mechanically minded fortunately a local garage was there to assist at rates you would expect to pay in the '80s!
I was welcomed by a friendly 'Big Al' who prepares and races stock cars and bangers (as well as mechanics being his trade of course) so this was right up his street, thankfully!
