Problem with the poll is it only allows one choice!

LRM has been bought for me as a subscription and I find it an entertaining read.

I also subscribe to TOR which gives more variety, which, as they say, is the spice of life  :lol:

Used to buy various mags, LRO,LRE,Classic American,  but now just tend to go round the  forums instead. I find this much more helpful with been interactive.

I subscribe to TOR as it was a good offer. I'll have to see what the offer's like at Donington as it's about to run out.

My favourite mag is http://www.4wdmonthly.com.au/, partly cos I'd like to live there but mainly cos I like what the Aussies do to their motors and they have the space to use them.

used to buy the usual LR mags but i must admit to not bothering now - as I find them generally to be s**t.

I would like to see a proper techy mag with proper indepth articles

I have yet to find a magazine that is not specifically Land Rover orientated or just full of adverts.
I have a Navara and all the 4X4 mags out there in that particular sector are chokka with adverts.
I purchase a magazine to read of experiences, how to`s and good information on "what works"......They all fail.
They are unimaginative and staid to say the least, if only they could do a good Land Rover mag, but aim it at the Jap 4X4 sector, I would prolly buy it.
Any Truck mag is good value, full of what I want to read and a good price.....If they can do it, why can`t other sectors?

All of the 'LR' prefixed magazines

LRO since it started (got #1 somewhere), buit only every month since 1990
LRW since #1 (used to get 'Back Street Heroes' when John Carrol edited that)
LRM since #1
LRE since #1


My own opinions are;
'LRM' has the best columnists (my mate Frank & Ross Ffloyd are great, as is Mike Thompson)

'LRE' is great for the in-depth history

'LRO' can have the best travel articles, as it's got a big publishers budget behind it, BUT it has loads of advertising to pay that budget

'LRW' is okay in a matey type of way, I correspond with Kevin Baldwin, as we've got shared interests outside of Solihull produced vehicles)

I have decided not to renew my subs to LRO mainly due to most of the articles being recycled.
I've decided to take out a subscribtion to Chav Hunter weekly. Its full of really interesting stuff, like how to lay a Chav trap.
First of all you get a Vauxhall Nova, stick a cr*p body kit on it, paint it primer gray, and then leave it in the car park at your nearest KFC.
This causes the local Chav population to gather round it and try to nick it.
At that point, you then switch on the 240V electric supply.
Most amusing.

i dont really buy many mags... just now and then. i rarely go for a particular one, usually just whichever has the most interesting looking front cover! call me influenced ;)

Occasionally autosport and occasionally TOR. Mayby LRM but only if there's something I need to know in it. Which isn't often.

LRO on subscription
LRE on subscription last year, just waiting for them to send me another letter, waited last year, got the subscription for a reduced £22 - bargain.

I also started reading Practical Classics, a good read on other classic motoring, run by emap - same as LRO.

My brother normally buys LRM and occasionally LRW, we get together most months and have a good read of the other mags. I find LRW a bit 'thin' though they do have some god articles, and LRM has too many columns for me, takes me too long to read.
