My daughter says thankyou, she has two today, one tomorrow and I think she said she did one yesterday........we also have parents evening tonight  It is boring for you I suppose but did you opt to resit or were you told you had to? My daughter opted to after I told her there was no way getting into college with those grades from last year

LOL! pleasure!

er, well, i did not choose to re take, im just not the cleverest guy there ever was, and so after getting A,D,E,U in my as levels last year, i thought to myself, i had better see if i can do a little better,   lol

i am retaking the D and the E in computing and sports studies respectively. biology which i got the U in, i failed hard (a U in every module) so i decided not to redo that one, i just CANT do biology

and the A was in german, cos i am billingual!  8)

computing on monday, and sports studies (both modules history of sport and physiology) on the monday after.

and after all that its off to salisbury plain in my defender

till then its hard work though

slightly off topic but I have just passed my final exam for the Open Uni and have now obtained my BSc (Open). it has taken 9 years of study to get it but it is all worth it now.
SWMBO is now concerned with all the free time i will have and what trouble I will get up to now

Congrats Robert 9blackbelt) John started an OU but had to quit it as he just didnt have the time for it. He then did a home study course in computer programming and passed with distinction or some such thing but it doesnt get him any letters after his name
For the other Rob, doesnt matter if you arent the brightest spark you at least had the sense to know that the results you got last year were not good enough and so you are willing to do them again, good on you for that and I hope you do really well. My daughter is resitting english and IT I think she dropped Maths so didnt bother with that one :(

I have to say that the last exam I took was the sergeants exam in, ooh, let me think? Oh yes! 1993. I got such a great mark, I was advised never to take it again, coz I was so useless!
Never mind.
For all those taking exams, good luck. It will be worth it the end. If I'd studied harder, I could have been a RAF fast jet pilot. But then again, giving me control of a multi million pound war machine! Very silly! I'll stick to nee naw cars!

Hm, I remeber, maths, more maths and a bit of maths.  Every lab we had involved some complicated maths and some bright spark would always start rattling on about how they'd been doing something similar over the summer.  When it came to the "driving round in a Cossie with the radio on and the windows down" lab I'd have been set :)

Let's just say I didn't get on with the examiner's car and was thoroughly stressed about the whole thing.
No chance of a retest though, it's pass/fail end of story.  Still I don't have to worry about the 4 weeks at Cardington pass/fail at the end of it now

Anybody bought a new Megane, can I ask WHY :?
