Coming home from work yesterday, we were told not to use the (tree lined) main drive, but to go down the back lane.  Five minutes later we got another phone call to say DON'T go down the back lane, but use the main drive!  Apparently a tree had come down over the back lane and taken out the power cables to the staff houses at the back of the site.

The wind's getting up again now.  It'll be whistling down the chimney all night, keeping me awake again. :x
