The beast is back!

No, not me   The 110 V8 is finally back in my drive after going for some work (at a certain V8 specialist who shall remain nameless) in November.

What with failure to carry out work that it went in for, head gasket failure during it's time with them, and general butchery of the vehicle during the job, then me losing heart and ignoring it for a while, it has taken till now to get it done.

Anyway, I seem to have got the carbs balanced up quite nicely (4 of them)..... a job the garage should have done. I think it's running a bit rich though.

Only now that I'm driving it again, do I realise how much I've missed it  :( No offence to Suzuki owners, but the Samurai just doesn't have the same effect as a stonking great V8  8) Especially with a rather too loud side exit exhaust

And I've solved a battery discharge problem...... turns out to be something wrong with the CB. Once the power is disconnected from the 'head unit' there is no drainage.

Anyway, I'm back in the wonderful world of Land Rovers and loving it  :D

P.S. So it's now running a high compression 3.5 with 4x HIF6 carbs and a Piper Torquemax camshaft  8)
