glow plugs
« on: January 31, 2007, 18:58:48 »
I am sure i read a post yesterday about this, but cant find it now

Today i replaced my glow plugs in my 300 disco. cyc 2 and 3 glow plugs were very oily, which suprised me.

The car doesnt appear to smoke too much on start up and dont see it behind me when driving, although in the dark do see mist in cars headlights as i am zooming past them!!!

now these shouldnt be oily should they?
i get excited at the oddest of things = its fun being me

Hi mate i would not worry to much if the engine is still running ok  :) sounds to me like the two glow plugs have failed all together and is not burning the xs oil and fuel off on start up.With a turbo diesel you will normally see a little smoke when you go tanking past people  :D
