Can we rebuild him?

The previous owner fitted a Guardian rear bumper and decided that it would look better if the rear bottom-most part of the wing/panel was removed. You can kind of see what I mean in this picture.

this is what it used to look like.

It has been trimmed off right below the plastic trim. Would it be possible to reconstruct it either with steel/aluminium plate or chequer plate? Maybe attach it underneath the plastic trim?

anything is poss with a bit of time, like said try and reconstruct under the rubber strip, weather you could ally weld a peice of old wing in or even rivet ? maybee. alan.....

Rebuilding the panel neatly will be differcult

That's pretty much what I was thinking - as it would match the rest then!

Or find someone who is scrapping a disco

Cut the rear bit from the donor disco and rivit at the back of the trim

Gords ... what about thick black rubber - like a mud-flap material? That would also stop any problems with "bending" the new bit as it would have no strength.....

dont anyone approve of chopping big bits of rear quarter of then.
i get asked loads to have it done, i must admitt, it dont want to be your best family car though!
but keeps clear when your offroadin.

Everyone has different views - personally, I'd rather the panels were still there
