I have got a 300tdi that i would like to start off roading a bit. The problem is people tell me i will do in wheel bearings etc and that i should repack them etc.
Is there a book that people write on how to maintain an off road vehicle and has anyoine used it.
Thanks
Chris

The extreme book mainly covers modifications . If you want to do your own maintenance , you need a workshop manual.
Everything needs replacing and maintaining that much more often when you start going off-road.

You'ld be better off with the normal Haynes manual for the 300 Disco for stuff like your wheel bearings and general maintainance.
Land Rover also now provide the Workshop, parts, overhaul and electrical manuals on CD ROM and for £20 (ish) then they are a really good purchase!! :D
