...I see I'm not the only one!
'95MY soft dash, went to move it out of the garage the other day, noticed it was unusually low, (it doesn't get used all that often, so it usually "self levels" its self down a fair way) jumped in, sparked it up, pulled it out of garage on the bumpstops, no problem, on getting out I noticed I couldn't here the pump running, thought, oh poo!
All the relevant fuses were ok and the buttons/dash lights lit up as normal, so I checked the 30 amp pump maxi fuse under the drivers seat and found it blown, on fitting a new fuse and sparking her up, within 5 secs the fuse just blows.
My best guess is the pump is kaputt...thoughts anyone :?:

Pump is seized, possibly due to lack of use.  Rmove and strip to see if it's stuck on the compressor, otherwise it needs replacing.

Try Rover Renovations in the US for spares, Dennis is a star and with the strength of the pound it's worth inporting.  They do an OEM supply pump that's faster than the original for the same current draw.

If you find scale/corrosion in the pump then the air drier is saturated and needs replacing too.

:(  Ah well, thought as much, will strip it down and take it from there.
Will take a look at Rover Renovations, as I think I would rather use new components, mainly because the youngest secondhand parts are still going to be 10 years old :)
Its only done 66k in 12 years so its possible lack use has had an effect :)
