Wading Plugs ?
« on: February 07, 2007, 01:39:03 »
:D
We are off to Langdale Quest this Sunday for a play day, taking my newly aquired Grand Cherokee (98 4.0 limited) offroad for the first time.

I have been wondering if I need any wading plugs or owt. Anyone any idea  :?:
I have been before but rented one of their colanders ... err cars ... and so know how damp it can be sometimes !

At the moment mine is bog standard, but gradually I will make it more suitable as the cash is available.

They don't need wading plugs. The axles have breather pipes running up into the body, and some of the t-cases and tranmissions do too. Takes a lot of work to get water into anything expensive. Just make sure you know where the air intake is before you go wading.

Thanks guys. It's a petrol so no turbo probs to contend with..  hopefully, good spray of WD40 is about all I should need.

I will let you know how we get on. A good mate of mine (Ian Wood) is a member here too and is going to look after me he says !

Actually, now I think of it... it's all his fault I have got the bug anyway, so he owes me a tow if we get stuck
