Saw a D44 one at one of the shows and it was the best I've seen.  Very discretely mounted, great departure angle.

Had a TJM and whilst it was a good bit of kit, the winch was mounted a bit too low and the clearance wasn't great, and there were no integral recovery points.

Mine's a D44 one now.  Better winch position, recovery built in and great clearance.  No jacking tubes tho'.

I'm very happy with it.  Only downside is that you need to pay for a new washer bottle and steering guard on top of the price of the bumper if you want it all to look nice

that does look neet and tidy and the ends look as though they have had some thought put into them as most I have seen look like they gave up and couldn't be bothered with styling.

Im not 100% sure about the rad grill though.  :? I think it will be like Marmite. Love it or hate it!

I'm sure it's a daft question, but what's the big cutout in the grille for, Simon?

I think it is for putting the winch into neutral or drive so you can spool the cable out quickly instead of waiting ages for the motor to unwind it all.

Spot on.  There's a Warn XP in there and I need to be able to put in and out of freespool without being a contortionist.

Im not 100% sure about the rad grill though

I liked the thought of as much air reaching the big cooler and rad as possible, so cut out the middle and replaced with mesh.  Home made version of the LR Saudi grille
