This was like my first, a Vauxhall Victor.

I don't remember when it was built, but it cost me £20.

I was 17 at the time and we used to buy 4 gallons of petrol and get change from a quid, those were the days.

Mine was a Morris Marina 1.3 (NLM 381P) it was colour marroon, and every time you put it in reverse the gear stick use to come out.

Got rid of it for a 1.3 dark blue Ford Cortina (BDS 542S) and on tickover it use to wobble badly.
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do,
and the eyesight to tell the difference.

First vehicle with 2 wheels was a  1980 Suzuki TS100

First vehicle with 4 wheels was a 1973 VW Camper van, Westfalia conversion.

First 4x4 wasa a 1992 Daihatsu Sportrak.

First car I wrote off, a Jaguar XJS when I was 17. Wasn't even mine, belonged to a customer of the hotel I worked in at the time. I totalled it moving it round to the carpark.
I have two brains, one with marbles and one without.

Guess which one I'm using today.

My first back in 1966/67ish was a Ford Thames 100E van, a sought after classic now, but just a cheap old banger (deathtrap) then.  I spent more time fixing it than drivng it, come to think of it 40 or so motors later and nothings changed much.  Although I spose now the fixing is more for fun than necessity.

My Vitara does that, ask anyone that was at Eastnor :)
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Yellow Vauxhall Viva with a black vinyl roof, the lights used to go out if you hit a bump it was best to have a mate with you to hold the switch in place.

That's an F-type Frank, they look good when either concourse, or built into a street-racer, have a look at the 3rd picture on on thispage

My first bike (at 16 years old ) was a suzuki ap50, p plate 1976. I went from Redditch (near Birmingham) to weston super mare on it and it took 3 hours. Them were the days, not restricted to 30 mph and my ap50 would do 55 mph.
First car (at 17 years old) was a hilman hunter 1725 GT which i brough for £175. This cost me £200 to insure tpft the day after i passed my test. Ok £200 is not much today but then it was just over 4 weeks take home pay  for me.
