Busy day. Started off degreasing the tdi and finished with removal of the TD. So that's the easy part done. Now the hard part of fitting in the new engine. SimonPS - Them bellhousing bolts are a b@stard!

Has anyone on here made their own downpipe? I ask because I think over £135 is a tad much! I have the disco downpipe but I don't have any other bits of pipe hanging around. Will this do?Simon
AFAIK a td5 downpipe cn be cut and shut to make your own, will take a few hours but defo cheaper.
So if i bought a disco 200 tdi engine and bought an exhaust from steve parkers, the it would be pretty simple afterwards? There is also another kit to convert but its like £300 - odd quid :o !!! Need to do it on a budget of £600 and then replace the gearbox!
As I said I'm in Norton.PM me and I will try and come over. There's nothing difficult on that list.
