OVERFINCH CLASSIC RANGE ROVER
« on: February 17, 2007, 19:40:04 »
Hi Guys,
Well what a day i have had went to see my mate paul (oddjob) for him to tell me he had just bought a overfinch range rover!!!!
Then said that if a offer was made it maybe for sale as it's been stood for 18mths or so...
So as you do i asked to see it...So followed him to where it still was stood ..and wow....been under a sheet for almost 2 years and spot on..ok there is some rust on the bumpers all the tyres are shagged roof lining gone..but hay its a overfinch with all the paper work and plaques etc etc
its only the little one 5.0 litre v8 gm engine..but its had quick ratio box ,high power headlights, precision steering system front fogs special 5 spoke alloys, chrome bumpers, stronger auto box, uprated springs and dampers ,cross drilled ront and rear discs, heavy duty anti rollbar, stainless steel sports exhaust and out board levelers ,anti sway rear geometry?? steering wheel and clocks and uprated bucket seats..(not leather??...And has a 7 seat conversion!!
So as you do i had to have it!!!! its in Black also so looks the nuts...Will try to get some photos on here as soon as i can...
Sorry but had to tell someone

You'll love it, I used to have one with the 5.7tpi in, just cross fingers you don't need the distributor cap off (I did, and needed to drop the engine to get it out!!)  apart from that It was a great car, and to be honest wasn't much worse on petrol than a 3.9. Unfortunalley in a moment of madness I sold it  :(  been kicking myself ever since...

I like those side-steps, subtle.  I want some like that for the LSE so I don't have to cut the brooklands skirts down.

Expensive seems to be what everyone wants for a pair so I think I'll be cutting down an old nudge bar to make a trial pair in case I don't like them.
