Transfer Case - Jumping out of High?
« on: February 18, 2007, 16:28:32 »
My 110 seems to jump out of high on the transfer case occasionally when you ease off - anything I can do to sort this before its an issue?

It goes straight back in easy enough.

Thanks

Might just need the lever setting up correctly.....

I've known them to miles out in the past, which casues the lever to contact part of the casing before correctly selecting high or low range... which results in it being partly engaged, but not fully.

Hopefully!

That also makes sense as it didn't do it in the 200 miles home, then after I'd played around with it all a bit it started jumping out.

Anything to look for when setting up the lever?

Mine did this. Turned out to be worn intermediate shaft and bearings. Mine is on the 4sp LT95 box and It was done with the gearbox in-situ. Not sure if this is possible on later ones.
