Jimny Upgrades - any suggestions

Hi Folks,
I'm new to the Jimny thing, so am considering best mods.
I'm pretty sold on 2" pro comp lift kit and possibly a safari snorkel (though I'm not sure how waterproof a petrol powered motor can be)as well as a set of MTs on slightly larger rims.
The vehicle is to be used for green laning and I would like it to be fairly capable - at least as capable as my old 200tdi disco.
I'm looking for underbody protection - steering guard/diff guards etc - anyone any ideas??
I know what I want (I think) , but if you can think of anything else to upgrade the little fella please shout.
Basically it should be capable of crossing Happy Valley near Aberdovey without any drama or grounding out - I think that's a nice average lane - if that's any help!!

All you realy need is 2" lift, get rid of the anti-roll bar. The only thing I would worry about underneath is the Drivers side Transfer box mount. It has a tendancy to break, but mainly if you get some big air and land it hard. The weight of the Transfer box on landing is too much for it. I have made a bash guard for my transfer box, but diff guards will limit the already limited ground clearance. So far the diffs seem to be tougher than Landrover ones! If you go for the lift it may be worth looking at the thread in this section on Jimny castor angle correction, or fit a pro-comp steering damper.

Glaggs has it in a nutshell. Im running 235/70 R15 with a 3 inch lift and have a very capable vehicle. PM me if you are looking for wheels / tyres, i have a set up for sale.
Bigger tyres with a lift on the jimny will need some form of castor correction as the steering gets very light. on a 2" lift castor correction bushes are an option, but ive heard they limit axle movement. Check out the thread Glaggs mentions.

Cheers Fellas,
Food for thought.
I've come across the castor correction issue with landies, but I bet it's even more prevalent on such a short vehicle.
3" lift sounds a bit more than I want so will probably go 2".
What are the largest wheels tyres that will fit/articulate without fouling the body with this lift??
Also, what was the effect on your insurance of any lift/mods?? Does it hit premiums hard or not?
I had no probs with my landy, but that obly has Ats steering and diff guards - no lift.
Cheers,

Had a look at the site - looks good.
I am happy to do the suspension lift myself, but I fancy the alloy bash plate mod!!
I think I'll give them a shout once the suspension's on as I'll probably need a garage to do the castor correction bit.
