steering on my disco

Hi can you help the steering on my disco fills like an old series 2 with a warn out box.  I have renewed all bull joints and the steering damper it has a new recon  steering box infact the front end has been renewed with a new axel and hubs but it still fills very slack and i have bled the box and there is on air in it only oil. all joints and bushes have been replaced on the front  :?

I have my own answer to that, with a standard steering wheel on a series, I polish the wheel with by belly :lol:

Is it as simple as nipping up the adjuster on the steering box??

Mine had two faults, which made my steering too tight.  The garage fitted a new steering coupling AND backed off the box adjuster very slightly.  Made a hell of a difference.  

So, conversely, tightening yours up might solve the problem.  

You also mention axle replacement??  What about the swivel shims??  Do the swivels have the correct preload?? Was this checked, if not do before touching the steering.
