went out to start my 200 tdi this morning turned key and nothing happend no ignition lights no radio, clock nothhing. tested battery on my charger and it shows fully charged it had last bean started a fortnight ago. the same thing happend over xmas but a wiggle of the earth lead cured it i have cleaned and tightend conections but it has made no diference, eny sugestions would be appreaciated.....Iain

If it's the strap type they go high resistance over time if you have some jumpleads put them between the earth of the battery and the engine and try again then try to the engine to chassis it could be either of these leads hope this helps :?  Iain.. (spelt the proper way hey!!) :lol:  :lol:

thanks for that hope it is as simple as a bad earth, will try using jump leads and let you know how i get on.....cheers Iain

hi checked the earth and found it ok.....turned out to be a naff battery brand new charger was teling lies, thanks for your help guys.....Iain
