My clutch finally gave up the ghost today, but not sure how!
The bite point has been very low on the pedal ever since I got it (200 TDi). Just assumed with the mileage it was worn out....
Driving home today and pressed the pedal to change into second, and the pedal went limp.
This has happened to me before (in a Defender) and it turned out, the slave cylinder had gone and all the hydraulic fluid burst onto the road.
However this time the clutch reservoir was fine.
Any idea what the problem could be?
Also who is doing the cheapest clutch bits at the moment?
