Does anyone actually fall for this cr&p?
« on: February 26, 2007, 22:55:55 »
Got this today

From: Mr.Michael O Higgins
Address: 65 Petty France,St James Park,
London SW1H 9EU.
Occupations: External Auditor

{KEEP THIS BUSINESS WITHIN  YOURSELF FOR SECURITY AND SAFE REASONS}

Dear Sir\Madam,

We want to transfer to overseas 36,000,000 Pounds (Thirty Six  Million
British Pounds) FROM London, I want to ask you to quietly look for a
reliable and honest person who will be capable and fit to provide
either an
existing Bank Account or to setup a new Bank A/C immediately to receive
this
money, even an Empty A/C can serve, as long as you will remain honest to
me
till  the end for this important business trusting in you and believing
in
God that you will never let me down either now or in future.

I am Auditor.Michael O Higgin ,the Auditor General of Bank here in
London,
during the course of
our Auditing I discovered a floating fund in an Account opened in the
Bank
in 1990 and since 1993
nobody has operated on this Account again, after going through some old
files in the records I
discovered that the owner of the account died without a [heir] hence
the
money is floating and if
I do not remit this money out urgently it will be forfeited for
nothing.The
owner of this account
is Mr Peterson A Patman, a foreigner, and a sailor, and he died, since
1993.
and no other person
knows about this account or anything concerning it,the Account has no
other
Beneficiary and my
investigation proved to me as well that Mr Peterson A Patman until his
death
was the Manager of
Cluff Gold Company Ltd here in UK where he made a Millions of British
Pounds.

We will start the first transfer with SIX Million Pounds [6,000.000
Pounds]
upon successful transaction Without any disappoint from your side, we
shall
re-apply for the payment of the remaining rest amount to your
account,The
Amount involved is (36M British Ponds Only)THIRTY SIX million British
Ponds
Only, only I want to first transfer 6,000.000 Pounds [SIX million
pounds}
from this Money into a safe foreigners Account abroad before the rest,
but I
don't know any foreigner, I am only contacting you as a foreigner
because
this money can not be approved to a local person here, but can only be
Approved to any foreigner with valid International Passport or Drivers
license and foreign A/C because the money is in Pounds and the former
owner
of the A/C  Mr Peterson A Patman is a foreigner too, and the money can
only
be Approved into a foreign A/C.

I got your email through my Personal Secretary through the internet,She
did
not know you before
neither do I know you she only got it when I told her that I needed an
email
Address where I can
send a Confidential Proposal to,though I did not tell her what the
content
of my mail was,It only
God that brought us together to do this business and I am revealing
this to
you with believe in
God that you will never let me down in this business, you are the first
and
the only person that
I am contacting for this business.

I need your full co-operation to make this work fine because the
management
is ready to Approve
this Payment to any Foreigner who has correct information of this
account
which I will give to
you upon your positive response and once I am convinced that you are
capable
and will meet up
with instruction of a key Bank official who is deeply involved with me
in
this business. I need
your strong assurance that you will never, never let me down. With my
influence and the position
of the Bank official we can Transfer this Money to any foreigner's
reliable
Account which you can
provide with assurance that this money will be intact pending our
physical
arrival in your
country for sharing. The Bank official will destroy all Documents of
transaction Immediately we
receive this money leaving no trace to any place and to build
confidence.I
will use my position
and influence to obtain all legal Approvals for onward transfer of this
money to your account
with apropriate clearance from the relevant ministries and foreign
exchange
departments.The
onlything I needs from you now is to keep this business within yourself
untill I instruct you to
spread the Good news to anyone OK.

At the conclusion of this business, you will be given 35% of the total
Amount, 60% will be for me
while 5% will be for expenses both parties might have incurred during
this
process.

Yours,

Auditor.Michael O Higgins

Had a couple of similar ones myself earlier. They don't seem to be too picky on the grammar requirements for these high up bank jobs do they?

I don't give out my bank details for less than 13 million, so that comes just under that threshold. For any less it's just not worth typing out the digits. Premature wear on the number keys and on my fingertips and all that.

This guy has asked me to find someone to transfer the 6 mil to. He says that it should be a foreigner so welsh should be OK, but if your not interested then I will take my search elsewhere.
He is taking a great risk by doing this and this is how you repay his trust?!

It must be my lucky week! Now I have had an offer of 12.5 mil! I am gonna be rich! This guy left the USA to come to the UK because he was Impotent and then died in a plane crash in Egypt! He is one unlucky dude!

Hello Friend,

I am making this contact with you in good faith. I got your mail address while doing my internet searching for a reliable person. I am working with the Natwest Bank PLC, London. My purpose of writing you is to ask for your assistance to provide a virgin bank account or your account that contains little or no money where we can successfully secure the sum of 12.5 million (twelve million five hundred thousand British Pounds).

For your information, there is one American business merchant based here in England and his name is Mr Thomas McCulloch. He was the Manager Of petrol chemical service,a chemical engineer by professions, This man died in a plane crash that took place in New York on Novermber 2th 1999 while returning from a business trip in Egypt. He was banking with my bank and I am his accounting Auditing officer.

However, since the death of Mr Thomas McCulloch , I have been trying to contact any of his relative in the city of Colorado, his home country America, through his address with me, to let his people know about his money in our bank but I did not receive any response. I later remembered that Mr Thomas McCulloch came to my country out of shame he was receiving from his country because he was impotent.

I am contacting you to stand as the next of kin to late Mr Thomas McCulloch from United State Of America because the Government of my country will pay it to Federal Reserve purse if I should declare to them about this fund. Note that there is no risk involved in this transaction, as I will give you all information you may need about Mr Thomas McCulloch and his banking relationship with my branch to enable you to stand as his next of kin to receive this money in your account. Please if you are interested and capable to carry out this deal with me, reply me through my private email address mail1plowman@yahoo.co.uk.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Regards,
Andrew Plowman.

I thought I should string him along a little. This is what I wrote, there are a few puns in there I think you will find!

Hello Mr Ploughman

I am intrigued to find out more details about the task you wish for me to carry out. I have sympathy for Mr Thomas McCulloch as I myself am Impotent and have considered leaving my country of residence due to the ridicule myself and my family recieve.

But I am a hard man and will stand up to the bullies to show them that a soft man can still be hard.

Anyway, please let me know what you need from me and how we are to proceed with this transaction. I am a little concerned about trusting you as I hear about scams on the internet all the time but as this person suffered with impotence I am willing to lend a hand.

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

     David

I'm getting loads and I think it's becasue Julie's CV is on monster.  I had thought about replying but all you do is let them know someone is reading the e-mails.

If you do decide to respond try phrases like
"I'm sorry my letter is writen in crayon but I'm not allowed anything sharper in here"

"yes I'd love to take you up on this offer as I came down in the last shower"

"as I have recently been declared bankrupt you may find that my creditors will seize any money you try to pass through my account"

I read that 419 eater site a while ago, I don't have the time to get into it but some poeple treat winding these scammers up like it's a hobby.

got this email recently :P

From Mr. Pascal Duncan
Abidjan,
Ivoiry Coast.

                                              Confidential message.
Dear,

I am writing this mail to you from my residence because of how confidential it is,this letter contains some confidential materials and should be delected from your mail box if you are unable to help me out concerning the proposal.I an Accountant in a Bank here in Abidjan.

I and my colleagues have an amount of US$28,000,000.00 Dollars belonging to Gen Robert Guei who was shot dead together with all his family last September by the Government soldiers here on an accusation of plotting a failed coup de etat.this money was US$58,000,000.00 Million dollars but some have been used in the importation of arms by the General until he met the unexpected death.  I know that there are lots of business opportunities there in your country hence I decided to contact you based on the fact that part of this money will invested in your country with you being in charge of any business that is going to be starting as joint ventures.

I have all the necessary documents involved in the deposition and the withdrawal of the part of the money and the next of kin was his personal security guard who also met death. Now I want you to stand as the next of kin and help us transfer this amount of money out from here. This business is 100% risk free and I will prepare all the documentation and prove the source of the fund before the transfer.

I advice you to think very well before responding because we need a very strong hand in this transaction. Your percentage and other important details will be discussed once I confirm your kind willingness in helping to the transfer.

I await your postive response via my private email address or you can reach me on phone number  0022507994725.

Thanks,
Mr. Pascal Duncan

 may give him a ring, could do with some new off road bits and $28million should cover it
