i suppose this has been asked a thousand times before BUT is it possible to fit the whole swivel and hub off a defender to a series 3 to gain having disc brakes if they appear to have the same axles :?

Not without a lot of fabrication. The two use very different components, and the swivels off a Defender are half the size of a Series' swivel.

Saw an article in one of the mags a while ago, it wasnt simple and required the swivel mounts to be very accurately welded on as the holes were all different along with other probs, definately wasnt a bolt on easy job.
