Britpart stockists - info required on exhausts
« on: March 05, 2007, 21:49:00 »
Any one on here on personal speaking terms witha Britpart stockist ?
To cut a long story short I need to find out if I am being spun a story by a Britpart dealer in Tyne and Wear
I ordered a stainless steel replacement centre exhaust section that does away with middle silencer for a 200 tdi 90 about 3 weeks ago
when it didnt arrive after a week I phoned to be told they had sent the wrong part (air filter ? ) - I never received this and was told it had "got lost" !
Said they would send correct part on Mon - by Frid no sign so phoned again
This time I was told that Britpart had made 1000 of these pipes and they were ALL two inches short ! (this is the bit I need confirming )
They were going to look into it over weekend and phone me today - guess what - no phonecall
Getting peed off now and would just like to find out if I am getting fed a family sized portion of BS or not before I take this further
Anyone heard any stories about these pipes ?

Thanks Mike (and Matty) - any info greatly appreciated
According to my "supplier"  Britpart have recalled all 1000 replacement pipes
I was told it is only 200tdi 90 pipes that are 2" short - can't help feeling I'm being spun a story though !

I've seen these advbertised this month.  I take it from your descrition that this is a sort of performace part by getting rid of one of the boxs underneath?

I'll tell Julie to get saving then.

Will it be ok for the MOT?

Any joy with phoning your ex boss Mike ?
Still no reply from the stockists today - I want to wait and see if any one knows they are telling porkies or not before I contact them with my opinions !
