GENERAL GRABBER AT2s
« on: March 07, 2007, 17:57:30 »
just had a nice new set of AT2s fitted to my disco td5, 255/65/16
what pressures should i run in them?

should i stick to the recommended pressures for that size that land rover say in the owners book?

28 psi front 38 psi rear

or does any one know different.

so far i am very pleased with them, very good on road, very quite.
not had chance to test them off road yet,but i am sure they will be fine for what i need.

look forward to your comments.

Stick to what it says in the handbook I guess, perhaps a little lower at the back, Land Rover are the only manufacturer I have seen who advise letting the tyres down a bit if you aren't carrying anything, like they assume we all do

As they are a bit wider than the OE ones keep an eye out for them wearing in the middle (a sign of over-pressure) but if I advised you to let them down I would be concerned that they wouldn't handle as well and maybe overheat the sidewall.
