milage on a disco td?

after my poor shogun took a wack and insurance are payin up quickly!! strange!!


found a disco near me for sale all strait, 2 owners fsh.... got 220k on the clock though?

friend of the family said his dad nearly 300k on it and not a problem!

all bodywork seems fine not had alook at the gear box

just wondering if its worth a punt?

i have 260k on my 200tdi disco and touch wood still running well....off on the mac tomorrow  :wink:

the engin should last ok, if its been treated right, but watch out for gear boxes, there not cheep

as said before, the engines are ok at that mileage, as long as its has been reg serviced and looked after, if the gearbox is crunchy then it could cost another £500 or so :roll: ( unless you get a second hand one). double check its mechanically sound...dont just go with the bodywork.

yeh im not bothered about bodywork, my shogun was pretty nice shame it got wrote off... though if its scruffy dont mind if i put it in a hedge off roading!

:D Hi, my 300Tdi now has 212,000 on the clock and runs very well. Engine doesn't smoke, gives 30+mpg regularly, never uses any oil. Gearbox is good but doesn't like a hurried 2nd to 3rd, still got original shocks, pas pump and alternator. It gets regular oil changes and tlc.
I wouldn't swap it, it's a gem.
