300/td5 lights are the same. The mounting bolts for those types of headlamps use a bolt with a ball on it. What 200 TDi owners do is remove their lights and indicator surrounds then you need to drill 3 holes each side on your existing mounting panel, get hold of some nuts to fit the mounting bolts, bolt them through the holes you drilled and mount the headlamp. The indicators are held in place by a spring with a catch on it, you need to drill a hole for the catch to go on but as its on a spring the location of the hole is pretty liberal.
The shape of the TD5 front wings is different to the 200/300 so in order to fit TD5 indicators you will need to cut your wings a bit, but I have never done this and am not sure the shape of the td5 wing is the same as the 200/300
If you want to fit late TD5 lamps then you would need to remove the mounting box and somehow bolt them to the panel behind, you would also need to modify your front wings and seriously upgrade the headlamp/indicator wiring.
Either way, the difference between the 200TDi headlamps and the 300/Early TD5 lamps is negligible, I have owned both and the 300 lamps are rubbish too ! The late TD5 lights look good and work well but they are a lot of work.
