Hi

Ran out of petrol this morning and then filled up with a Jerry can and the car is now spluttering all over the place.

V8 3.5 EFi

Think it may have picked up some crap in the tank.

What do I do, will it run through with some pertol cleanser.

thanks

Duncan

Run some fuel treatement through it, then change the fuel filter, if it's the cup type in the engine bay, fill with fuel treatment when re-assembling. Put another dose of fuel treatement through it.

With a bit of luck... bob might be yer auntie!

Arse of the day award to me.

When putting petrol back in the tank use more than a 5 litre plastic can.

Especially if you have run the poor old girl dry.

Will stick some cleaner thorugh to help it but we are running again.

thanks

:D Yep with those things you wont get through the gears before you run out on a gallon, you need at least 5, and no hills

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40
