Had a call from dealer this afternoon to see if I was interested in a bargain  on a six month old 56 reg ex demo Range Rover Supercharged Vogue SE coming available. At just over 50,000 pounds it didn't seem like a bargain, but when list price with it's couple of options was just over 75,000 pounds I suppose it does.

Looking at LR website it seems that this is not far off what most are selling for. Can't see this helping sales of the top end RR's even the big exec cars don't lose this much.

The only bonus I suppose is that if you are in the market for one, just buy one six months old and get a new Defender with the money saved!

Cheers

Steve

They don't hide the fact ..... they reckoned on trade in mine would be £56k .... 20k to drive something like that is a bargain :)

sorry not sure I understand, they estimated or gave you a guranteed future value. Sorry but going by prices on ex demo with 1-3K miles less than 6 months old there is no way you are going to get 56K.

Sorry smo but they don't. You won't find an s class, 7 series or an 8 series losing a third of their value in less than six months. More like 10-15K less

No axe to grind on this post, I've had plenty of new RR's, BMW's, etc and lost lots in depreciation so I'm used to it, just today's call surprised me just how much the Supercharged RR is losing and how quickly. It doesn't stop at six months as well by the way. Looking at prices on lr website, I reckon that anyone buying new  RR supercharged and running one for 3 years at 10-12K a year is going to have to factor around a 50% loss on trade in. Expecting anymore is wishful thinking.

Cheers

took 50% value on last L322 .... was expected. I reckon if you worry about depreciation or fuel costs with one of these, you've bought the wrong car :>

Now I'm feelin better as I have only lost £1k on my purchase price over the last year on my Zuk.

Paid £9995 for it and they are sellling at the dealers for around £9500 to £8500......

One dealer told me, "no one wants the new ones as the old version is much better off road"
