Mountain biking, though sold my bike about a year ago cos I needed the money, regret it now, was a nice one I built up from an On-One Inbred 456 frame, luvverly machine.

Scuba diving, though not done any since I moved to Wales, not had the time, but want to get back into it.

Football and rugby in school. Was alright in defence in footie, but being a big pie fan wasn't particularly athletic. Enjoyed rugby on the few occasions we played it though. The rest of the class didn't like being on the recieving end of my tackles though! :P Quite fancy getting into rugby again, might see if there's any possibility of joining the club in Aberystwyth.

My sport was on 2 wheels too.

Mountain bike racing (last bike was a Pace Research RC100, no boingy-bits on it  )
Cyclo-Cross (Paul Milnes 653)
Road Racing (titanium Dyna-Tech - still got that in the garage)

Used to ride to work, train, race & ride for pleasure.
A nice hilly 80 miles was a nice Sunday ride (via such notables as HolmeMoss, Woodhead Pass & the Snake Pass)

Although I really ought to get the bikes back out as I'm starting to get porky now (almost breaking the 11stone barrier)
SWMBO is running a bit ,as well, but I had enough running when I was riding cyclo-x (now when we're chasing absconding patients)

I did enjoy my trip down Gaping Gill (August 2005)
I was offered another trip down courtesy of two of the members on here, but sadly it hasn't been feasible yet

Don't like making life easy for yourself then ;) My Inbred had a nice 5 inch travel fork up front, though it was just down to the steel frame to smooth out the bumps at the back.

Porky at 11 stone?! Hitting the 16 stone barrier here ;) Hence why I need to get a bike again. Though if I do say so myself, I'm not exactly fat for the weight.

Never felt the need for it, the Pace had rigid forks (RC-30??) but the frame was relatively forgiving.
I could overtake quite a few downhill, as well as outclimb them

Now and previously (excluding navigatin' in the racer):

Skiing and blading, potholing, canyonning, long distance walking, water skiing, mountain biking, winter climbing, shooting (live and air), badminton, weight training, rc cars, swimming. I even tried dog sledding once! Did a bit of hockey, but injury made gving up seem a good idea!

Hobbies have also included photography, and model making - but they're not really sports, so....

cheers

No need to apologise, it it wasn't meant to be seen, it wouldn't be there

Don't know about 'in my prime', I hadn't really started racing then, so wasn't really too fit.
That came later, when I could get to Otley from home in about an hour (through Leeds)

I gave my 'www'[/i] address to Karen (one of our Nurses) & she pulled that up at work on a PC on the Nurses station, so everyone laughed.

As it states below the image, I was commuting home (we were in Stanley at the time) from Leeds at 18:00 every weekday, so the need to be seen was top-priority!
One section of road I used was a feeder to the M1 (Stourton roundabout, for those who know Leeds)
As you exited the roundabout at my exit;
The left lane was for Castleford, Garforth,A1 & Pontefract
The centre lane was for Wakefield
The right lane was the M1 southbound sliproad

So, with lunatics in B*Ws crossing between the 3, I wasn't going to wear blacks & blue, I needed to be seen whatever the weather & traffic conditions.
