Is the viscous part of the fan on a v8 disco, the same part as on say a defender 300tdi?

Are the compatible?

Cheers

Err, carefull.  They might not be the same part number but of more concern is that some models had a RH thread whereas conventional wisdom is that they are LH thread.  You see the Rh ones on serpentine belts.

Sorry to bring this old thread up but i'm just looking for confirmation that the thread on the viscous fan for my 98 dico v8 is indeed a regular RH thread.

If so it would explain even when beating ten bells out of it, it refused to budge.  (what else are work lunch breaks for  )
