I prefered the old LRO forum, the green one.
I`m all for progress but the new one is a step back.
I had a email from them to say that they were sorting the problems out.
But i lost my patience and i dont bother now.
The only 2 4x4 sites i visit now is Mud-Club and D.O.C., Discovery owners club.
This one i prefer because its not just Landrovers.
Even tho i have a Disco and Landrovers are cool there is room for every one on this site.

I visited D_O_C's site but they wanted payment and it's members only so I never bothered. Use LRUK and find it a great site. Some members get a bit wrapped up in themselves and can be a bit boorish and obnoxious. But hey the same can be said for any section of the population.

Sorry, forgot to say that the D O C is members only and you have to pay to be a member.
Although they do have a non-members bit but its not very big.

LRUK is fine as long as you stay on the right side of bernie hayden, he owns half of the site and beleives that he can pick and choose his members.  then he bans them and tries to make out he's been hard done to..

I use 'LRUK' too & find it okay.

:) I used the LRO forum for a couple of years before "expanding my horizons" and finding mud club.  LRO was becoming horribly cliquey with the same hard core of subscribers intent on mutual gratification and patting each other on the back for being so clever most of the time.

Down hills right. But its down to the fact that alot of people spat there dummies out over the new forum when it started .I still go on every day but its slow now which is a shame really as the guys that are left posting on there are really nice and helpful when asking advice on landrovers.
There was alot of users complaning about nothing really and then made a big thing about signing off for good.End of the day these forum are a good way to enjoy everything off road so if people bitch about it they have very dull lifes.
Mud club is a better forum because more peolpe are using it so why not post on others then we will have a few more good ens to use as well!

Gotto say i like LRO and always found it very helpful. It was a lot better before they changed it - i kind of wonder why they bothered!

However, the greenlaning section is ok - but i could never get anyone to go. Everyone said they would turn up and in the end everyone drops out.

I got so frustrated that i tried MC. What a result that was - lots of people willing to play with their hobbies - not just talk about how they have pimped them up.

MC rocks without a doubt.

A few years ago I wanted advise on buying a series 3 and typed into google land rover forum and mud club popped up and never left, never been to any other landy  / 4x4 forum. MC members are cool and very helpful. Met loads of great characters along the way.

I shall be here till............. erm............er dunno. When I sell the landy? As much as I "should" sell it for financial reasons I wont!! :D So sorry guys you have me floating about for much longer now!!!
