bidding on a rolling chassis on fleabay - and decided to ask the seller a question - namely are the shocks both facing the same way (ie a later one) and what condition are the swivels in...a reasonable enough request..well this is his reply
eh. it wouuldnt be the best of designs to have both rear shocks on the same side would it, the rear suspension is exactly the same as every other sprung classic ive ever seen. bring a couple of long ramps and a winch, it's 99p at the moment mate is it really worth my while faffing about photoing swivels????
some people are beyond help - or is it just me being 'sensitive'??????????

There are some total knobs out there selling stuff.  Works in your favour some times when you turn up and obvioulsy know more than they do (yourself not included I hasten to add) and occasionbally they take your word that it's not worth a penny more than you offer them

Oh thats so true
A mechanic had this car before me , yup knew it all

He wanted £1600, I told him the clutch was going (as hard to get gears) the footwell carpet had rolled up behind the pedal    though in fairness the pedal did need adjusting via the master cylinder pin

Then told him it was running to cool (all Isuzu 2.8's run cool)

Anyway the mechanic who knew it all buckled, and I got £200 off 6 months ago  :D

OK so you'd have thought he'd have set a reserve if he was gonna be peed off at selling it for99p.........Anyway I retracted my bid - if he cant be assed to answer politely - i cant be assed to collect!! I was going to tell him what i'd bid up to - but i couldnt be assed to do that either
