« on: April 05, 2007, 21:01:07 »
just got back from sollihull after having the land rover tour of the factory,me and my boy have just had a fab time. there were just the two of us so as a result the guide gave us an extra hour and took us round all the lines, must confess very close to wetting my self on the defender and rr sport lines, the lads and lasses on the defender lines have got massive bate boxes, it was just fab, long live land rover.
                           a very happy john.t :D  :D  :D

Great ant it.
I use to take people into the plant when i worked for a well know Birmingham coach company and when the folks did the factory tour i could drive the test track.
Not in the coach before anyone asks...

Been on the factory tour many times But you ask would i go again...yes i would.

my usual tour consists of going in through Gate D2.. down to deck 29 - then ALL the way back round the factory past the rectification area (scary!!   ) then back out through D2 again!!

just a few stats.this is what the guide told us.
the electricity bill for 2006 was £25,000,000.     .
a range rover sport pops of the line every six mins.
if the main line stops for what ever reason it would cost £6.000 per min
                           regards john.t
