Front Hub Assemblies
« on: April 19, 2007, 16:52:54 »
Does anyone know if the front hub assemblies (i.e swivel housings, cv joints, outer halfshaft, etc.) from a defender 24 spline axle will fit a discovery 24 spline axle?

Thanks in advance

James

Yes it will fit. The swivel pins are different on a Defender tho' (bigger diameter), but the hub will bolt on at the 7 bolt flange on the back of the swivel.

So Defender swivels might be an upgrade for Discos with big wheels then :)

Cool.  As another MC member put it, a day without learing is a day wasted.

Thanks!

I picked up a pair for £85 Notes in mint condition - my existing swivels are badly pitted and the one CV joint is starting to go! So these were a far cheaper option.

I now have a Spare set of Hubs, Disks, Callipers, Half Shafts etc.
