They don't, but if you've gone to the trouble of converting to run on alternative fuel your likely to be using that alternative fuel. Either way for £10 a year to park who cares.

Just read the small print, you need to privide a copy of the V5 or conversion cert, so LPG and I'm ok, biodiesel and I'm not.  LPG conversion on a diesel though, hmmmmm..............

P.S. how naff is that? I'm going to be shopping in the LSE now rather than the Micra becasue it's cheaper to park :(biglaugh):

Yes, my mate who bought Rangie1 has the permit in his window plus a big dial clock that states it is an eco friendly vehicle - of course I knew that all along  :D

I thought about this for my series 1.  Help me dodge the £80 fine they seem to be dishing out to my mates.  I guess on a diesel you'd need to do a twin tank conversion and have someone who knows about that sort of stuff aprove it?

I never drive into town anyway so I'm not too bothered about it (if I did I would definatly try to use this scheem though!).  Never actully spend a tenner in a parking meter in sheffield in nearly 4 years as I'm too cheep.  I only park outside the limit of restrictions, which is now getting worryingly close to my House!  Ã‚£40 a year for a parking permit with aditional permets costing £80 to cover admin costs?? Sounds like [bauble] to me!

On the subject of bio diesel, is there a place on the way to Forgemasters (from Wikker) that sells it? I herd a couple of months ago there was a place opening there near the scrapyard between the railway bridges (Right turn at the lights after the yard I think).  Is that true? Or more importantly is it cheep?  I suspect it could be one of those places that adds 5% to diesel and charges as much.

There's a coiple of RIX places in North Notts where we lane that sell the 5% stuff but TBH it's Dick Turpin's fillinb station anyway so I don't bother.

I'll have a look for that one though :)

As for the parking, I fancy doing it just to have the green parking sticker :D

Done a bit of web hunting and found this site.  This is the place I was thinking about...

http://www.bioukfuels.co.uk/

Sent them an email last night.  I'll let people know my findings.  As my landy's off the road at the moment it'll be a good few weeks before I'd be able to go over that way for a look.  If anyones passing by it'd be good if they could have a look though.  Seems like it should be easy to see being on the Newhall Rd  (Oh dear they seem to have ruined multimap with a crap new version just like all the other map sites, lets hope they keep the old version going aswell(I bet they won't). Computer doesn't seem to like URL's from the new site!)

So what exactly do you have to do to a Disco TD5 to be able to use biofuel then?
