If you want to play then you can use this site as a guide but take note of the warnings and make a note of everything you alter & by how much so you can put it back if doesn't work. http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/more_power/Power_ve.htm
The trouble is Alan, how do you know that the star wheel & smoke screw were altered as part of the intercooler upgrade? It may have only been the diaphram that was altered, as per the instructions that I got with the Allards Intercooler I fitted to mine, and the smoke screw & star wheel could still be in the standard setup positions. I'd do it one at a time in small increments, starting with the diaphram, and take it for a drive after each alteration to see what it's like.
Is there any way of putting it back to standard and starting again? I know Julie's TDi has been tweaked and it goes like a stabbed rat, but it smokes. I've ordered a new big intercooler for it (taking it's time arriving) and I may just fit that and leave well alone :? I know Diesels are simple but not my familiar territory at all.
