'The Flight'
« on: May 04, 2007, 20:26:24 »
Friday 4th May
BBC1
19:30 - 20:00

Did anyone see it?
What a wonderful programme. Absolutely bl**dy marvellous!!
Well done Auntie Beeb  =D> =D>
I don't know whether it was a Yorkshire region only programme, or a change to the published programmes as it's not listed on the BBCs own TV listings section of their site.
(I do believe it was a repeat though  :-k

For those who didn't see it, it was a behind the scenes look at the Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight.
The preparation was shown, in-flight footage from the London flyover for the Queens birthday.
A new pilot was tested (in the Hurricane) for the coming display season

Only one criticism....... too much narration whilst the Merlins were 'singing'

Cr*p! I must have missed it. You can't beat the sound of a Merlin in full song.
I can remember seeing the Mosquito do a 'buzz' of the runway at Biggin Hill in the early 80's.
Awesome!
