The TD5 intercooler is a full width unit, the problem being that it has an outlet at each end whereas a 200 & 300 tdi have both the outlets at the N/S.If you have a slim line winch bumper it will be more difficult.
Ultrahunter has fitted one to his 200tdi and managed to fit it far enough forward so he could run the pipe from the o/s between the radiator and intercooler so then both the pipes are on the same side.
If you can't do this (don't have the space) you will need to move the radiator to a central position, which means removing the fan cowling and getting the oil cooler pipes extendedYou would then need to remove the viscous fan and fit an electric one,and then manufacture some pipes to connect the intercooler.Oh and also make the brackets to fit mount the intercooler. All in all a bit of a job which involves a bit of cutting of metal ect.
I have one to fit to my 200 tdi but haven't had time yet and am considering buying a purpose made intercooler (full width) instead as by the time you've bought the intercooler pipes, electric fan and modified oil cooler pipes there probably won't be much in it cost wise.
just my view

P.S Ultra hunter did post a few pics of his fitted,if you can find them
