for hands that do dishes....
« on: May 12, 2007, 23:59:54 »
Changed engine oil, gearbox oil, transfer box and both diff oils today, managed to get pretty oilly though, that gear box filling plug is an absolute [!Expletive Deleted!].

After 3 goes with shampoo, I had to turn to fary liquid to de-oil my hair in the end, of course it presumably totally deoiled it of its protective natural oils so it will probably drop out now....

very satisfying and it definately seemed to sound better.  Its worrying when the diffs and transfer box (which don't get drained, just topped up) take 4 litres of EP90 between them.

a fair point indeed, but the amount of oil i dipped my head in would have got through all but a sou-wester!!!!

Anyway, I didn't intend to get so oily so figured theere was no need for a hat, and anyway, I can't get teh oil smell out of my t-shirt so I'm glad I don't have to throw away a hat too.
