Wow! Tape and cable ties???

I went to school with someone who's parents owned a hot air balloon. He was given a small one that just had a harness under it, a bit like the one on that site. Must be an amazing feeling once you get used to it. But I'm not sure it's for me

If you had enough balloons, you could use them for a bit of zero-ground impact greenlaning!

Let the ramblers put that one in thier pipe and smoke it.

Staying to the right of way could be tricky, though.

Nutters!

Reminds me of a Darwin Award nominee from a few years ago.  The guy wants to see over his fence/into neighbours garden or whatever, so he attaches a weather ballon to his deckchair, sits in and unties the tether.

Ballon lifts him admireably, keeps lifting him, and lifting him, and lifting him........
....Guy freezes to death in the atmosphere!

In all actuality he survived unharmed, but got a big fine from the FAA.

He quit his job as a truck driver and took up the circuit as a motivational speaker.

He sold the chair he used to the neighbours kids.

cheers
