Thieving scum bag
« on: May 19, 2007, 20:22:45 »
My cam belt went last week on my td90. So I thought I would look at fitting a tdi.

I have taken off the wings, front panel, rad ect. I also took the seat box and foot wells out as I plan to sort the gear box too.

I kept the bits in the back, secure as I have a dog guard.

One thing I never thought to remove was the TAX disc.
Yep some thieving scum bag has gone under the truck, up through the foot wells and had the TAX disc away. 10 month left on it. Gutted

I phoned the police who said there wasn't a lot they could do, fair one. But I got a crime no.

I now have to send off a V20 for a duplicate disc at the cost of £7.

No cam belt, now no TAX disc and I still haven't got and engine what a week.

I feel for you M8 ! Thats the last thing I would think they would nick, I mean your truck is stripped doen & if I had walked past I would think it's off the road for a rebuild so would'nt have any tax on it or it would be out of date !( NO I'M NOT A SCUM BAG !!!!! )But that is what most of us would think I am right with this ??? Shame they did'nt nick what the dog leaves for you
I don't suffer insaity ! I enjoy it !!!

The thing is I live in a close, so it is a dead end. There is only 20 odd houses. so it not something you would just walk past. Its either a neighbour, heaven forbid or some opportunist that came round the estate.

Thats all they can see

They had the Rad out the Back of Rabbit while it was stripped :(
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Wow, you are definatly in need of some better luck!!

FACT......People will nick anything!!
I've had the bumper & side steps nicked of my lorry!!
When i used to have horses some people nicked rugs right off them & burnt there whiskers with a lighter!!

DVLA is just as bad tho, can't believe they charged you for a new one!!

Hope you get your new engine sorted :D
THE BRIGHTER THE BETTER!
