Little tip for filling the transfer and gearbox: Get one of these syphon pumps from Draper Tools. They are cheap and make it a lot easier than trying to do it with a 500ml bottle.
I use an old atf bottle. Its about half a litre, and it has a long spout on it too. :D

That pump is a syphon pump they only work if the full container is higher than the empty one. you'd be better getting a drill operated pump especially if completely refilling. the box.

I know this cos' that's how I do my own gearbox & transfer box refills. Agreed, the drill operated pump would be easier if you have one but for the price the syphon pump makes an easy option.
While were talkin fluids, a mate told me to use ATF in my manual disco gearbox. Anyone heard of this?If not, what do u use?Stu.
Budgie, as far as i am aware Landrover do not say to use MTF94 in the 300tdi's. I spoke to webbers landrover in basingstoke and they said to stick to ATF and that MTF94 should only be used in later TD5's and freelandersa etc. Chris
