I would like an SJ
« on: December 09, 2004, 16:53:36 »
Anybody got one they no longer want/need?

Not interested in tax, test etc.

It's to keep me going at work (Langdale Quest) during winter while I still rebuild Thora the Series 3.  The missus has put a stop to me using her Disco after I ripped the rear axle off it.

It can be a real shed, as long as it goes.  It'll be used and stored away from public places.

Why an SJ?  Well that's what the fleet cars are at work, which means lots of spares.

I do.
Its a 1987-E SJ410 Van with an very nice engine and chassis, the body work has small patches of rust, but nothing serious.
It has a towball and CB Radio (Fully working) and my boyfriend fitted spot lights too.
It has had a slight prang which happened at Cannock Chase in October, I have had a mechanic look at it since then and the mechanics are all fine.
The windscreen is smashed (still in place) and the passenger door window is gone,  the passenger door is a little dented (it needs replacing as it doesn't open and close properly.)
I also have 3 mud tyres which came with it when I bought it, but I've never used them.
It has A/T tyres on it.
I have it advertsied for £300, my boyfriend will deliver it to you for a cost of 50p per mile (inc the return journey)
I'd fix it up myself, but I am moving abroad and trying to get some cash together.

Let me know if you fancy a butchers - it is in Northolt in London.
I'll post a link to some pics of it at Cannock chase in a mo.

Ay up Emily

Opposite ends of the country, I'm oop norf in Yorkshire.  Your motor sounds a bit nice for what I have in mind.  What I'm after is something that will be used for ragging backwards and forwards in the woods.  It only has to last me 2 or three months.  If I had the brass (who does, this time of year), I'd be tempted, 'cos I could sell it on again.

Great pics BTW!  Not often you see a Delica getting muddy.

Hi there.
It is quite nice, I'll be sorry to sell it.  I've had a bunch of fun in it.
Hopefully someone might see this posting who lives a bit closer.

Happy Hunting mate
Em.
